This is a blog discussing topics related to Operations Research and Business Process Optimisation. Specifically, we consider Operations and the role it plays in enabling firms' strategies. There's so much written these days about Client Experience, fancy-pants electronic Channels, Data, etc. but everything comes together in Operations - whether it's manufacturing, services, distribution...a firm's success hinges on the effectiveness and efficiency of its Operations. As an Industrial Engineer, this is clear to me, but there is a dearth of deep, pragmatic treatment of Operations from a practitioner's perspective. In practice too, nobody asks "What about operations?" when considering new technologies, strategies, etc., or the question is asked way too late.

I started this blog for Process Optimisation practitioners and Operations Managers - to share some of the things I've learned in my meandering and adventure-filled years as a Business Process Engineer.

These posts are mostly ideas and first-drafts, so don't expect fancy prose here.
